Historical Context
Released in 2023, La Pasión is the fourth and final expression of Zacapa’s Heavenly Cask Collection, a limited series created by Master Blender Lorena Vásquez to showcase the influence of different cask types within Zacapa’s unique ageing system.
La Pasión highlights the contribution of Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, renowned for imparting exceptional richness and intensity. These casks enhance the spirit with notes of raisins, figs, dates, dark honey and caramelised fruit, resulting in one of the most expressive and indulgent interpretations within the collection.
As the concluding chapter of the Heavenly Cask Collection, La Pasión completes the four-bottle series and represents the culmination of the journey through Zacapa’s most influential maturation casks. It is therefore particularly sought after by collectors wishing to assemble the complete collection.
