Historical
Produced each year in very limited quantities, Chartreuse V.E.P. Green is crafted according to the same traditional methods as Green Chartreuse. The Carthusian Fathers carefully select certain green liqueurs destined for exceptionally prolonged ageing in oak demi-muids for many additional years.
The natural influence of time allows the liqueur to develop extraordinary aromatic complexity, greater depth and an exceptionally long finish. Compared to the standard Green Chartreuse, V.E.P. Green offers a smoother texture, enhanced elegance and a more refined balance between powerful herbal intensity, spices, resinous notes and freshness.
First released in 1963, V.E.P. (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) became one of the most prestigious and emblematic Chartreuse expressions ever produced. The initials “V.E.P.” are a registered trademark specific to Chartreuse.
Presented in its traditional wooden case and bottled individually, Chartreuse V.E.P. Green remains one of the most sought-after releases among collectors and fine spirits enthusiasts worldwide.
