Historical & Distribution Context
Lepanto is one of the most prestigious brandies produced by González Byass, one of the historic houses of Jerez de la Frontera. Unlike many Spanish brandies produced from imported distillates, Lepanto is distilled entirely from wine and matured according to the traditional Jerez solera system in casks previously seasoned with sherry wines.
Introduced as a premium expression of the house, Lepanto quickly gained recognition for its elegant style and refined ageing process. Vintage bottlings from the late twentieth century, especially those presented in luxury gift boxes with crystal stoppers, are increasingly appreciated by collectors of historic Spanish spirits.
