Founded in 1991 by the family behind Vega Sicilia, Alión was created with the ambition of producing a modern expression of Ribera del Duero while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Unlike Vega Sicilia Único and Valbuena, which follow long ageing periods and a more traditional style, Alión emphasizes purity of fruit, precision and elegance, showcasing the character of Tempranillo through a contemporary approach.
Over the years, Alión has become one of Spain’s most respected wines, consistently receiving international acclaim for its balance, depth and ageing potential. Today it stands alongside the great names of Ribera del Duero and remains one of the flagship projects of the Vega Sicilia group.
