An exceptional bottle, with the cap, label and contents in perfect condition. It still bears the Italian alcohol tax seal in its entirety.

This bottle was imported by P. Soffantino of Genoa (Italy). Italy has historically been—and continues to be—a particularly important market for Chartreuse, as evidenced by the significant number of high-quality vintage bottles imported by this firm.

A six-digit code, printed in black on the neck of the bottle, is present. This code indicates the year of commercialization. Although some references mention 1992 as the starting point of this coding system, examples in our collection suggest that it was already in use as early as 1991.

Chartreuse Jaune was traditionally bottled at 40% ABV, prior to a gradual transition to 43% ABV around 2019, depending on the batch and market.
