Larios Triple Sec was one of the traditional orange liqueurs produced by Larios S.A. in Málaga, a company founded in the nineteenth century and widely recognised for its role in the development of Spanish spirits.
Inspired by the classic French triple sec style, this liqueur was distilled using sweet and bitter orange peels to create a versatile spirit intended both for cocktails and for consumption as a digestif. During the 1960s and 1970s, Triple Sec formed part of the standard range of many Mediterranean producers, reflecting the growing popularity of mixed drinks throughout Europe.
Today, early bottlings from Larios are increasingly difficult to find, particularly those preserving their original labels, closures and tax strips. These bottles offer a glimpse into a period when Málaga was not only known for its wines, but also for a diverse production of spirits and liqueurs.
